Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a drastic fall in daily COVID caseload on Friday as 170 more people, including 24 in the age group of 0-18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had reported 351 new cases on Thursday, 322 on Wednesday, 327 on Tuesday and 316 on Monday.
According to the I & PR department, 98 of the new infections are from quarantine and 72 local contacts. Khurda district registered the highest 61 cases, followed by Cuttack (19) and Kendrapada (11). Ten districts reported nil cases.

With these cases detected from 55,743 samples, the test positivity rate dropped to 0.30 per cent. The TPR was 0.49 per cent on Thursday and 0.52 per cent on Wednesday.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 10,42,943, Odisha now has 3,651 active cases.
