Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has revised its target for COVID-19 vaccination in the state to 3.25 crore people from the earlier 3.09 crore.
So far, 2.54 crore people have got their first dose while 1.12 crore people have received both doses. About 1.37 crore people are waiting for their second dose.
The state government has administered a total of 3.67 crore doses so far.
State Health and Family Welfare Department Director Bijay Kumar Panigrahi said the government plans to give at least one dose to the entire eligible population by December 31.
Currently, 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh people are being vaccinated daily, falling short of the government’s daily target of 4 lakh. On Thursday, 2.47 lakh doses were administered across 1,912 vaccination centres.
