Jeypore: Miscreants have allegedly kidnapped a rice mill owner, identified as A Ramesh Patra, and demanded Rs 70 lakh ransom for his release in Odisha’s Koraput district.
According to sources, the abductors intercepted the car in which Patra was returning from his mill located near Perahandi village around 8 pm on Friday and sped away in it with him.
His family has registered a complaint in this regard with Borriguma police, which has formed a team to rescue the victim and trace the culprits. CCTV footage of the area is also being examined.
