Bhubaneswar/Puri: Deveshi Devi, the youngest daughter of Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, will be tying the nuptial knot with noted businessman and royal Aditya Kehr of Haryana on Wednesday.
Aditya is the son of Gurugram’s Rajiv Kehr and Nisha Mahtab Kehr, a descendant of Burdwan royal family.
Speaking to media persons in Puri about the marriage schedule, Praveen Parida, secretary to Gajapati, said the marriage ceremony will be solemnised at a hotel in Bhubaneswar by adhering to COVID guidelines. The ceremony will begin at 10 pm, he added.
Parida said in view of the state government’s COVID restrictions, besides the guests from the groom side, very few persons have been invited to attend the marriage function.
The groom and his family arrived in Puri on Tuesday and had darshan of the sibling deities at Jagannath Temple.
All marriage functions including reception are organised in Bhubaneswar, he said adding that senior servitors and officials of temple administration have been invited to partake Mahaparasad in the royal palace in Puri.
