Odisha: Rs 50 lakh Unaccounted Cash Seized In Poll-Bound Pipili

Pipili: Around Rs 50 lakh of unaccounted cash was seized by Pipilli police near Tarakaja Chhak on Monday.

Two residents of Balanga area have been detained in this connection and a motorcycle seized.

According to police sources, these persons didn’t stop during a routine checking at Pipilli tollgate and sped away. They were then chased by Pipilli police and intercepted near Tarakaja Chhak.

Further legal action is being initiated, the sources added.

Bypoll to Pipili Assembly constituency is slated for April 17.
