Odisha: Sarpanch Announces 5-Day Shutdown In Bhadrak Village

Bhadrak: The Sarpanch of Gelpur in Bhadrak district has ordered shudown of Nalanaga village to contain COVID-19 cases in the area.

The order will be effective from May 24 to May 28 in four wards of the village, said Sarpanch Manasi Rout.

Except medicine stores, rest all shops will remain closed she said adding the orders have been issued utilising the Collector powers given to Sarpanches to tackle emergency situations.

It may be mentioned here that Bhadrak district has registered 151 new  COVID cases in the last 24 hours.
