Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a sharp spike in COVID cases with 41 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, which took the active tally to 177 on Wednesday. Those infected include four in the below 18 years of age category.
The state had seen 22, 23, 12, 19, 24, 20 and 31 infections in the last seven days since June 8.
According to the I & PR department, 24 of these new cases are from quarantine and 17 local contacts

4. Jagatsinghpur: 1
5. Khurda: 22
6. Puri: 1
7. Sambalpur: 2
8. Sundargarh: 2

With these cases being detected from 10,556 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.38 per cent.
