Bhubaneswar: Governor has appointed senior OAS officer Shyama Bhakta Mishra as member of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
A notification, issued by General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) department, said, “In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of the Article 316 of Constitution of India, read with Regulation 5 of the Odisha Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952, the Governor of Odisha has been pleased to appoint Shyama Bhakta Mishra, OAS (SS), Managing Director, Boyanika with additional charge of Director, Handicrafts as member, OPSC.”
Mishra has been appointed for a term of six years from the date he assumes office or until he attains the age of 62 years whichever is earlier, the notification read.
The conditions of service of Mishra as OPSC member will be regulated in accordance with the provisions of the OPSC (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1952 as amended from time to time, it added.
