Bhubaneswar: A delegation of Odisha Sports Journalists Association (OSJA) called on Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
The delegation led by senior journalist K Ravi and OSJA president Sandeep Mishra discussed various demands raised by the 20-year-old association with the CM.
Majhi, said sources, greeted OSJA members and acknowledged their demands on a positive note.
One of the major demands was accreditation of recipients of the Odisha’s highest honour for sports journalism, ‘Biju Patnaik Sports Award’, by the state government.
Besides, a demand for setting up a dedicated media centre equipped with adequate facilities on the premises of Kalinga Stadium was also placed before the CM.
OSJA working president Sambit Mohapatra, vice president Samikhya Patnaik and Tapan Swain, secretary Suresh Swain, joint secretary Himanshupati Mishra, members Bimal Kumar Raul and Prasad Nanda were part of the delegation.
