Bellary: It was heartbreak for Odisha Sports boys as they lost to RoundGlass Punjab FC in a closely-fought final of the Under-15 JSW Youth Cup here on Monday.
Odisha Sports, who went into the final without having lost a single match, played out a goalless first half at the JSW Vidyanagar Township football ground.
Three minutes after the change of ends, Stephen scored for the Punjab team. That turned out to be the difference in the match as Odisha Sports could not find the equalizer despite their best efforts.
Odisha FC’s Prasanta Ekka was adjudged Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
RoundGlass Punjab FC thus continued their domination in the JSW Youth Cup competitions, having earlier lifted the Under-18 title beating Reliance Foundation Young Champs and finished runners-up in the Under-13 meet.
