India’s fastest woman Dutee Chand won the women’s 100m event at the fifth Indian Grand Prix (IGP) at Patiala on Friday.
She clocked 11.42 seconds, which is much below the World Championship mark of 11.24 second and 2020 Olympic Games cut-off timing of 11.15 second.
Dutee had an easy win in the event, which was almost cancelled considering the absence of most of the major athletes due to national camps.
The event provides a chance for the athletes to qualify for the Olympics, before the inter-state meet in Lucknow from August 26, reported Sports Cafe.
