Odisha Sprinters Kujur, Bhoi & Jayram Help India Bag 4×100 Relay Bronze At World University Games

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Animesh Kujur (22), Lalu Prasad Bhoi (21) and Dondapati Jayram (20) sprinted their way to glory, ensuring India a podium finish at the World University Games 2025 in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.

Kujur, Bhoi and Jayram, along with Services athlete Manikanta Hobildar, finished third to claim bronze in Men’s 4x100m Relay event on Sunday.

The Indian quartet finished behind Korean and South African teams in the relay final.

India picked up three silver medals in track and field, through Ankita Dhyani (Women’s 3000m Steeplechase), Seema (Women’s 5000m) and Praveen Chithravel (Men’s Triple Jump).

India’s campaign ended with 12 medals – 2 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze.

The gold medals came through archers Sahil Rajesh Jadhav (Men’s Individual Compound) and Parneet Kaur & Kushal Dalal (Mixed Team Compound).
