Odisha SRC Issues Advisory After Dense Fog Warning

Bhubaneswar: To prevent accidents due to dense fog, police and transport officials in some districts of Odisha have been advised to take necessary steps to control plying of vehicles on highways.

The office of the Special Relief Commissioner issued the advisory to the collectors concerned after the India Meteorological Department issued Yellow warning for dense fog at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Malkangiri and Koraput till 8.30 am on Monday.

The MeT office further said that a few places in Angul, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kandhamal and Malkangiri and one or two places in Ganjam had experienced dense fog this morning. Shallow to moderate fog has occurred at one or two places in Cuttack, Ganjam and Kalahandi districts.
