Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena has requested the Odisha government for release of the quarantine fund amounting to Rs 62 crore.
In a letter to the principal secretary, General Administration and Public Grievance, the SRC has sought the release of the said amount from the Chief Minster’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Jena has requested Rs 60 crore for the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department and Rs 2 crore for the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Notably, the state government had announced that it will provide Rs 2,000 to each person after remaining in quarantine centres for the scheduled period.
