Odisha STF Nabs Drug Peddler With 303 Kg Ganja In Kandhamal

Phulbani: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police arrested a drug peddler near Gadiapada of Odisha’s Kandhamal district and seized a huge quantity of ganja from him.

The accused has been identified as Kishore Chandra Mallik (58).

Based on intelligence input, a raid was conducted by STF against the illegal trade of narcotic drugs. During the search, Ganja, weighing more than 303 kg, and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from the possession of the accused, an official release said.

The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of possession. Further investigation is on.

Notably, STF has seized more than 74 kg of brown sugar/heroin, 202 grams of cocaine, more than 120 quintals of marijuana, 3 kg 630 grams of opium, and arrested more than 186 drug peddlers since 2020.
