Bhubaneswar: The audio-visual presentation of two students from Odisha on “Olympics Values” drew high appreciation at “Olympics in Reel Life” in Mumbai.
Pratyasha Swain from Government High School, Unit IV and Soumya Ranjan Barik from Government High School at VSS Nagar in Bhubaneswar participated in the event on Sunday.
They spoke on ‘Olympic Value Based Education Programme’ implemented in government schools in Odisha and made the audio-visual presentation on Olympic Values.
The Olympics in Reel Life is a Festival of Films and Photographs organised by the Film Heritage Foundation in partnership with the Olympic Museum and in collaboration with the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Abhinav Bindra Foundation.
Besides the two students, PET teachers Rachita Nayak from Government High School at VSS Nagar and Asish Kumar Pradhan from Government High School at Uditnagar in Rourkela participated in the event.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the ‘Olympic Value Based Education Programme’ in about 90 schools of Khurda and Sundargarh districts nearly one and half years ago.
The programme was started with a tie-up between the School and Mass Education department and the Abhinav Bindra Foundation. The government plans to extend the programme to five more districts in the second phase.
