Bhubaneswar: Subroto Bagchi has stepped down from the post of chairman of Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA).
Announcing his resignation in a tweet on Thursday, Bagchi said he was stepping down from the post after serving for 7 years due to personal reasons. He expressed his gratefulness to chief minister Naveen Patnaik having total confidence in him during his tenure as OSDA chairman.
Bagchi is succeeded by Alka Arora Mishra, who serving as CEO of World Skill Center, as the new chairperson of OSDA.
Congratulating Misra in another tweet for the assignment, Bagchi said as the CEO of World Skill Centre (WSC), she has proved her mettle as a strong leader with a clear vision for the skill future of Odisha. “In her able hands, I am sure, the state will achieve greater heights,” he added.
Mishra, a retired IRPS officer, was appointed as CEO of WSC by the state government in October last year. She is the wife of corporate honcho Santrupt Mishra, who is Director (Group Human Resources), Birla Carbon and Director, Chemicals, Aditya Birla group.
