Bhubaneswar: A record number of 40,711 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Odisha in the last 24 hours, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Pradipta Mahapatra said on Thursday.
Mahapatra stated that RT-PCR, antigen and Truenat tests have increased in Odisha in the past four days. Besides, the number of daily tests in the state will be increased to more than 50,000 by the end of August, he added.
On Wednesday, Director of the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Ajay Parida had said that efforts were on to increase COVID-19 tests to one lakh in Odisha very soon.
