Bhubaneswar: Pratyasa Ray did Odisha and Utkal University proud at the 4th Khelo India University Games (KIUG) which was held across seven north-eastern states.
The swimming ace, a product of Odisha IIS Swimming HPC, was the most successful female athlete of the KIUG with a haul of 4 gold, a silver and bronze medals each.
The 21-year-old Pratyasa had won multiple medals in the previous two editions of KIUG as well.
The honour of being the most successful male athlete went to Jain University’s Xavier Michael D’souza (4 gold).
Chandigarh University won the team title with a tally of 32 gold, 18 silver and 21 bronze medals. Lovely Professional University of Punjab’s Phagwara (20 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze) and Amritsar’s Guru Nanak Dev University (12 gold, 20 silver, 19 bronze) finished second and third, respectively.
