Odisha Teacher Braves Flooded River To Attend I-Day Function At School

Kandhamal: In an exemplary act of dedication to duty, a teacher in Kandhamal district crossed a flooded river by using a rope to attend Independence Day celebrations at his school on Thursday.

The braveheart, Lalu Mallick, is a teacher at Badali Primary School in Gunjibadi gram panchayat area. He hung by a rope to cross the overflowing Bagadi river.

Locals usually walk across the river, which remains almost dry throughout the year except the rainy season.
