Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday suspended Tehsildar of Padmapur in Bargarh district, Bipin Kumar Pradhan, following serious allegations of corruption.
The suspension was announced by the Revenue and Disaster Management department, after an inquiry report submitted by the Bargarh Collector Aditya Goyal highlighted irregularities and corrupt practices involving the official.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, addressing the matter, strongly reaffirmed the government’s commitment to rootout corruption within the department. He stated that no form of corrupt activity would be tolerated and that strict action would continue against any officials found guilty of such misconduct.
