Puri: Miscreants looted cash, silver ornaments and sarees from Mausi Maa temple near Balagandi at Bada Danda in Puri late on Wednesday night.
Police sources said unidentified miscreants broke the lock of the temple’s main gate and cut three locks inside the temple to commit the crime. They also broke the donation box of the temple and looted nearly Rs 30,000.
They have broken the almirah of the temple and looted silver ornaments and donated sarees.
On being informed, Kumbharapada police reached the spot and started an investigation.
Notably, unidentified miscreants have targeted small and big temples in Puri district. Ramachandi temple was looted some days ago.
