Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will auction 40 mining blocks this fiscal year, Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick said on Tuesday.
The minister said out of the 40 mining blocks, the licences of 24 will expire in 2020 and they will be re-auctioned. The other 16 blocks will be auctioned for the first time.
He also informed that the state government has already auctioned seven mining blocks.
