Bhubaneswar: With an aim to develop the Kotia region, the Odisha government will set up a Special Adarsha Vidyalaya in the disputed area shortly.
Reports say the school will be established at Ganjeipadar village under Pottangi block in Koraput district to impart quality education to the children of the villages and adjacent areas in Kotia.
The school will start functioning from the buildings constructed for the development of SC and ST people in Ganjeipadar. However, the school will be shifted soon after the new building for the Special Adarsha Vidyalaya is constructed in the area.
“It was a long-standing necessity in the region. We are happy that the State government accepted the proposal of the district administration immediately and the necessary grant has been provided,” Koraput Collector Abdaal Akhtar said.
“Hopefully, the students in the area will get quality education after the school is functional,” he added.
