Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Uniformed Service Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) on Wednesday announced that the Police Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment examination will be completed by October this year.
Notably, the SI recruitment exam was earlier deferred in October 2025 following allegation of ques
tion paper leak and irregularities.
OUSSSC Chairman Rashmi Ranjan Swain said the state government is committed to conducting a fair, transparent and error-free examination.
Candidates who were deprived of the opportunity to appear for the examination due to the question paper leak will be allowed to take the test, he said.
Those who have crossed the age limit in the meantime will also remain eligible to appear, he said.
Swain further clarified that there will be no change in the number of applicants eligible for the recruitment process. He also said the examination pattern and syllabus will remain unchanged.
Stating that the government remains committed to a transparent recruitment process, Swain said all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that the examination is conducted without any irregularities.
OUSSSC officials said that the revised schedule will be released soon, and candidates should prepare accordingly.
