Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorology Department has forecast thunderstorm and rain in several parts of South and North Odisha for the next five days.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Balasore, Sonepur, Boudh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar from 1 pm on Sunday till 8.30 am on Monday.
Balangir, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Puri and Keonjhar will witness similar weather conditions in the following 24 hours.
On Tuesday, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at few places over the districts of coastal Odisha and Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhmal, Koraput, Malkangiri and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
Similar weather conditions will continue the following day in coastal Odisha, interior North and South Odisha.
On Thursday, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Koraput, Kandhmal, Kalahandi, Gajapati and Ganjam. Such condition is likely to prevail till Friday morning.
