Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will take steps to keep old vehicles off the roads in line with the Centre’s vehicle scrapping policy, Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera said on Monday.
The Prime Minister had announced the policy on Sunday.
According to the policy, vehicles in Odisha that have run beyond 15 years will not be allowed on the roads, Behera said.
He, however, added that the state government will decide the mode of implementation of the new policy at a high-level meeting very soon.
