Bhubaneswar: With the Centre allowing the return of people to their home states by trains, the Odisha government on Tuesday said it will frame guidelines for such returnees.
Informing this, Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera said with many returnees being VIPs, they will arrange for their to return to their respective destinations after arriving in Bhubaneswar. In case some VIPs cannot make the arrangement, the state government will arrange vehicles for them. But they will have to pay the travel expenses.
Stating that while the state government has made the online registration mandatory for all the returnees before their arrival from other states, Behera added that those who have not registered, can also register after their arrival.
“The returnees have been asked to strictly adhere to the lockdown guidelines on quarantine and social distancing,” the minister said.
