Odisha To Host All-India DGP Conference This Month: PM Modi May Attend

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the three-day all-India conference of Directors General of Police (DGP) conference slated to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 29.

The meeting, to be held at the convention centre of the Lok Seva Bhawan, is also likely to be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, according to Odisha DGP Y B Khurania.

DGPs of all states, CRPF DG, chiefs of RAW, NSA and SPG will attend the three-day event which is slated to conclude on December 1 after discussion on important security-related issues, he said.

Sources said several issues, including cyber frauds, challenges posed by AI tools, latest threats of drone and counter-terrorism.

The participants are likely to discuss a wide-range of policing and internal security issues, including cyber-crime, technology in policing, counterterrorism challenges, LWE, and prison reforms, among others.

As per tentative agenda, discussions will be held on counter-terrorism, emerging trends in militancy and hybrid militancy in Jammu & Kashmir, Khalistan communication and logistics network, role of virtual assets, dark web in terror financing, drug trafficking, and the role of crypto currency in counter-terrorism.
