Bhubaneswar: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) course will be included in the Plus 3 curriculum in Odisha from the 2023-24 academic session, informed Vice Chairperson of State Council of Higher Education (CHSE) Ashoka Kumar Das on Saturday.
A committee has been constituted for the purpose under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor of Ramadevi Women’s University. The committee will examine different aspects and work out modalities for inclusion of the new subject in the curriculum.
While NCC was confined to only practical and field theory, students can choose NCC as an elective subject in the upcoming session.
The aim is to inculcate a sense of patriotism among the students and motivate them to contribute towards nation building through national unity and social cohesion.
