Bhubaneswar: Panchayati Raj and Housing and Urban Rural Development Minister Pratap Jena on Thursday said that the testing capacity in the state will be increased to 3000 a day by the end of April.
Over 2000 tests are being currently done every day.
“New testing labs will be set up at four medical college and hospitals in Balangir, Balasore, Baripada and Koraput and at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar,” he said after the inter-ministerial meeting held via video conference on Thursday.
The minister further said that the testing capacity at Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) will be increased to 450 a day.
