Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’s target of 1.92 lakh vaccinations against COVID-19 during the first phase is most likely to be completed on Monday, Director (Health and Family Welfare) Bijay Panigrahi said.
“While 1,52,351 health workers have been vaccinated till Saturday, the vaccination of the remaining health workers is most likely to be completed today,” Panigrahi told the media.
He further informed that the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination of health workers in Odisha will begin on February 14.
“The health workers who were given the first dose of the vaccine on January 16, will be given the second dose starting from February 14. The vaccination of the health workers who could not be vaccinated due to some reasons, will begin from February 18,” he pointed out.
Panigrahi further said that after the health workers, the preparation of the database of other COVID warriors to be vaccinated is in the final stage.
The exact number of COVID warriors registered will be known after midnight on Monday, he added.
