Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will lay the foundation stone of a teacher cluster in the cut-off area in Malkangiri district on December 18.
“It has been decided that 15 teachers will be accommodated at the new teacher cluster so that they will be able to reach their respective schools on time. The new cluster will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore and it will benefit the students of seven panchayats in the cut-off areas,” School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash told the media on Sunday.
“The Odisha government will set up similar teacher clusters in other remote areas of the state in subsequent phases,” the minister added.
Dash said that during his visit to the cut-off areas in Malkangiri district, he had found that teachers were facing difficulties in reaching their respective schools due to poor accessibility.
