Majhi further informed that the state has set a target to plant 7.5 crore saplings in the second edition of this campaign, which began on June 5 and will conclude on September 30. “The Prime Minister’s 75th birthday is on September 17. 75 lakh saplings will be planted on that single day to acknowledge his contributions to the nation and his special commitment to the state’s development. Therefore, I earnestly request everyone—common people, students, youth, SHG members, and voluntary organisations—to join hands in making this noble task of tree plantation a success,” he said.
“Trees are essential for life, prosperity, and a sustainable future, providing clean air and environmental protection. I urge everyone to plant at least one tree to serve Mother Earth and build a healthy, thriving #Odisha for future generations,” he added.
