Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will bring the Rural Development Department under the purview of the Mo Sarkar programme from February 1.
Rural Development principal secretary, Pradeep Kumar Jena informed this to the media on Wednesday.
Jena further said that priority will be given to the construction of roads in the areas without connectivity.
He informed that preliminary survey shows that there is no road connectivity in around 4,300 villages in Odisha. The number is most likely to go up during the next survey, which will be held very soon, he added.
Besides, the construction plans for some roads will be revised, he said.
