Bhubaneswar: Fifth instalment of Odisha government’s flagship Subhadra Yojana will be distributed on August 28 at Nayagada on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima.
This was revealed by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida after a preparatory meeting held in Bhubaneswar to review the arrangements for disbursement of the 5th instalment under the scheme.
Officials from the Department of Women & Child Development, OCAC (Odisha Computer Application Centre) team and representatives of banks attended the meeting.
The Deputy CM reviewed in detail the arrangements related to Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the 5th instalment, beneficiary identification, banking arrangements and other logistical preparations for the disbursement.
Parida said as many as 1,03,26,162 eligible beneficiaries have been identified for the 5th instalment. An amount of more than Rs 5,160 crore will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries through DBT.
She reviewed all arrangements to ensure smooth and seamless disbursement of the money. She directed the concerned officials and bank representatives to complete the DBT process within the stipulated timeline, strengthen banking arrangements and take all necessary measures to ensure that beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience.
