Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to make its debut at the National Ice Skating Camp for the upcoming National Ice Skating Championship, to be held in Haryana.
The national camp will be staged at ISKATE, Gurugram from November 22-26, Odisha Ice Skating Association (OISA) Secretary, Partha Sarathi Jena said.
The Olympic sport was introduced in India in 2002 by the Ice Skating Association of India (ISAI). Renowned coach Jena, who is also a former state champion and national player, recently introduced the sport in Odisha.
The Odisha Skating Academy trained the players for the competition. Aspirants have been advised to contact state secretary (9090913331) for registration.
The 12-member Odisha squad: Arman Subudhi, Ashlesha Panda, Sai Sriyansu Rout, Aditya Mishra, Biren Das, RN Aryan, Swayansu S Kanungo, Kaustav Patnaik, Krupa Doshi and Kushi Agarwal.
