Odisha: TPSODL Commissions Jodinga Primary Substation To Strengthen Power Supply In Raighar

Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has commissioned a new Primary Substation (PSS) at Jodinga in Nabarangapur district to enhance power supply reliability in Raighar and nearby areas.

Equipped with two 5 MVA transformers, the substation reduces the load on the existing Raighar PSS, helping improve power distribution for around 7,500 consumers. With the commissioning of two dedicated 11kV feeders—Turudhi and Parchipada—power supply has become more stable, addressing voltage concerns to some extent.

The Turudhi feeder now supports approximately 4,000 consumers, while the Parchipada feeder serves 3,500 more, providing better voltage stability and reduced fluctuations for households, businesses, and related activities in the region, TPSODL said in a statement on Saturday.

Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, stated, “The Jodinga PSS will ease power supply constraints and improve reliability for consumers in Raighar. This step enhances overall service quality, and we remain committed to further strengthening the network.”

TPSODL continues its efforts to enhance power infrastructure across Southern Odisha, with ongoing investments in capacity upgrades and network expansion, ensuring better electricity service for all.
