Bhubaneswar: The Tata Power Southern Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPSODL) on Wednesday submitted its Aggregate Revenue Requirement (ARR) application for financial year 2022-23 to the OERC in a hearing conducted on virtual mode.
The TPSODL, in its application, has proposed net revenue requirement of Rs 1965.75 crore against the ARR approved by OERC for FY 2021-22. The power discom for southern Odisha has proposed to procure 4170 MU of power from GRIDCO and projected a sale of 3127.70 MU during the FY 2022-23.
The TPSODL has estimated the LT sales at 2354.46 MU which is 75.28 % of the total sales. It has projected a distribution loss of 25.00% during the FY 2022-23 against actual loss of 23.07%.
The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) has engaged WISE, Pune-based consumer counsel, to analyse the tariff application of TPSODL for the benefit of consumers. As many as 13 individuals and representatives of institutions participated in the hearing and submitted their views.
The Commission reserved its order and is likely to announce it by last week of March. The order will be effective from April 1.
Earlier, the OPTCL had proposed its ARR of Rs 1247.14 crore to transmit an estimated energy of 28,517 MU through its network with an average transmission charge of 43.73 paise per unit during the fiscal at more than 50% rise over the charge in the last fiscal.
