Odisha Train Accident: Adani Group To Take Responsibility Of School Education Of Orphans

Mumbai: The Adani Group will take responsibility of school education of children who have lost their parents in the horrific triple-train accident at Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday evening.

“We all are deeply distressed by the Orissa train accident. We have decided that the Adani group will take the responsibility of school education of the innocents who have lost their parents in this accident,” Gautam Adani tweeted in Hindi.

The founder and chairman of the Adani Group said it is the joint responsibility of “all of us to provide strength to the victims and their families and a better tomorrow to the children.”

The casualties in the accident — involving the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express, a goods train and Yeshwanthpur-Howrah Superfast Express – was revised to 275 after taking into account some ‘double countings’.

Of the 275, 88 bodies have been identified thus far.
