Bhubaneswar: As support for those affected by the horrific train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district poured in from many quarter, Ollywood actors also volunteered to donate blood in a show of humanitarian act.
Praying for quick recovery of those injured in the deadly mishap that took place at Bahanaga in Balasore district on Friday evening, noted actor Babushaan donated blood at a health facility in Bhubaneswar.
Babushaan was accompanied by others including Ollywood actors Sivani and Suryamayee. The actors along with several fans, family members and relatives visited the hospital and donated blood.
The actors said they are trying to extend help and support to the affected people as well as the authorities through their initiative. It is the duty of every responsible citizen to stand by the people affected by the tragedy.
Speaking to media, Sivani expressed condolences over the death of so many people and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured in the deadly accident.
It may be noted here that the triple train accident has left at least 275 people dead and over 1175 injured. Since Friday evening, people from all spheres, particularly youths, have been queuing up at hospitals in Balasore, Bhubaneswar and other places of the state to donate blood for the injured passengers.
