Bhubaneswar: Three Odisha players have found a place in the East Zone squad for next month’s Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal One-Day Trophy.
Batter Madhuri Meheta, batting allrounder Tanmayee Behera and off-spinning allrounder Sushree Dibyadarshini are part of the 16-member squad that will represent their zone in the BCCI-conducted meet from March 5 to 15 in Bengal
uru.
The 28-year-old Sushree has been named vice-captain of the team. Bengal’s left-arm spinner Saika Ishaque will lead the side.
The six zonal teams — East, West, South, North, Central and North East — will play each other in a round-robin league. The top two teams will clash in the final on March 15.
East Zone will open their campaign against Central Zone women in March 5.
