Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government’s Higher Education department has directed the staff of universities and colleges to attend duty from the day of reopening – January 11.
Principal Secretary, Education department, Saswat Mishra issued an order to all the Vice-Chancellors of state public universities and principals of all colleges asking all staff to report duty on January 11.
“In supersession of all instructions/advisories issued earlier, it is hereby decided that all teachers, officers and non-teaching employees of the State Public Universities and Government/Non-Government Degree Colleges, coming under Higher Education Department, shall attend office/duty w.e.f. 11.01.2021,” Mishra’s statement read.
The order implies that there will be no roster or duty chart for the staff, including the non-teaching ones.
It may be recalled that only 50 per cent and then 75 per cent staff had been attending duty so far as per COVID-19 guidelines.
