Balasore: Former MLA and trade union leader Arun Dey was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the district headquarters hospital here on T
uesday evening after he complained of chest pain.
The five-time legislator had lost the 2014 from Balasore. He had contested this election as a Congress candidate after being denied ticket by the BJD. The 75-year-old had earlier won polls thrice on CPI ticket, once as an Independent and once as a Odisha Gana Parishad (OGP) candidate. He had also contested the 2009 Lok Sabha polls unsuccessfully on NCP ticket from Balasore.
