Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday apprehended in-charge RI of Sindurpur Revenue Circle under Binka Tehsil in Sonepur district, Vivekananda Tripathy, while allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 bribe.
According to Vigilance release, it was the first instalment of the total Rs 60,000 he had demanded to furnishing enquiry report for conversion of an agriculture land for non-agriculture purpose and issuing RoR to the complainant.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Tripathy, and seized.
Simultaneous searches are on at two location to ascertain whether he had accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
