Bhubaneswar: The Branch Manager of Koraput Central Cooperative Bank (KCC) at Malkangiri was arrested by Odisha Vigilance on Monday for alleged embezzlement of government funds to the tune of Rs 1.08 crore.
An official statement said that Branch Manager Sudhansu Khora was arrested for embezzling funds of Rs 1,08,75,000/- related to recovery of crop loan amount deposited by loanee farmers under 5 LAMPCS under Malkangiri district.
In this connection, Vigilance has registered two cases under different sections of PC Amendment Act,2018. Khora will be forwarded to the court soon, sources said.
Investigation is in progress and further details are awaited.
