Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO), OSRTC, Bhubaneswar, Bijaya Kumar Mangaraj for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
During searches, Mangaraj was found in possession assets worth crores of rupees, including two double-storey buildings and as many high-value plots in Bhubaneswar, Rs 1.47 crore worth deposits, gold weighing 500 gram and two four-wheelers, which he could not account for satisfactorily.
The Vigilance said that investigation confirmed that he owned a bungalow at Ernakulam, Kerala.
Bank deposits, investment in PPF & shares to the tune of Rs 1,47,38,925 and household articles worth Rs.17.70 lakh were also detected.
