Odisha Vigilance Detects 3 Buildings, 4 Flats & Rs 14.5L During Raid On Hirakud ACF

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday unearthed three buildings, including a triple-storey in Sambalpur, four flats (one in Bhubaneswar and 3 in Sambalpur twon), seven plots and Rs 14.5 lakh cash during raids on Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Hirakud Wild Life Division, Rebati Raman Joshi on allegation of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Assets detected in the names of Joshi and his family members are as follows:

1. A triple-storey building over 9,700 sqft area at Ainthapalli, Sambalpur.

2. A commercial building at Malipalli, Sambalpur on Sambalpur-Jharsuguda Road given on rent to Godrej Interio.

3. A building at Padmapur, Dist-Bargarh.

4. One flat in Satyam Royale Apartment at Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar.

5. A 3-BHK flat in City Pride Apartment building, Farm Road, Sambalpur.

6. A 2-BHK flat, Kanheya Block, Brijdham Housing Society, near Church Chowk, Sambalpur.

7. Another 2-BHK flat, Brijdham Housing Society, near Church Chowk, Sambalpur.

8. 7 plots (4 in prime areas of Sambalpur town & 3 in Padampur, Bargarh).

9. Rs 14.5 lakh in cash recovered from his government quarters near Deer Park, Sambalpur.

10. Gold jewellery weighing 150 gms & silver ornaments of 300 gms.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of buildings/ flats/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. Bank, insurance & postal deposits and other investments are also being ascertained, according to an official release.

The simultaneous house searches are being carried out by teams led by 3DSPs, 10 inspectors, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge Vigilance, Sambalpur, at 9 places in Sambalpur and Bargarh.

Raids are underway at these places:

1) His government quarters near Deer Park, Sambalpur.

2) Office chamber at Sambalpur.

3) Triple-storey building at Ainthapalli, Sambalpur.

4) Flat No. G-5, Kanheya Block, Brijdham Housing Society, near Church Chowk, Sambalpur.

5) Flat No. G-6, Kanheya Block, Brijdham Housing Society, Sambalpur.

6) Flat No. A-406, City Pride Apartment building, Farm Road, Sambalpur.

7) Single-storey commercial building at Malipalli, Sambalpur on Sambalpur-Jharsuguda Road.

8) Single-storey building at Padmapur, Bargarh district.

9) Paternal house at Balanda village, Bijepur, Bargarh district.
