Odisha Vigilance Detects Farmhouse, Flat & Plots In Bhubaneswar During Raids On Forest Range Officer

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday unearthed a multi-storey building, a high value flat in Bhubaneswar and 2 more in Hyderabad, 8 plots in Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal and a farmhouse during raids on Forest Range Officer, Dhenkanal Range, Bibhudananda Mishra over allegation of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

These apart, Rs 4.13 lakh in cash, gold weighing 300 grams, two four-wheelers and 6 two-wheelers were also detected during simultaneous house searches at 8 places in Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar.

Assets unearthed in the name of Mishra and his family members are as follows:

1) One double-storey building over an area of 4,605 sqft at Ratna Bazaar, Dhenkanal town.

2) One flat at Brinda Basera, GGP Colony, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.

3) 2 Flats at Kaushalya Infra Projects Private Limited, Nanakramguda,  Hyderabad.

4) A farmhouse spread over 5 acres comprising a multi-storey house, poultry farm, horticulture nursery and park at Rahangol, Athagarh, in Cuttack district.

5) 8 plots in upscale areas of Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal.

6) Bank deposits worth Rs 40 lakh.

7) Gold weighing 300 grams including, a Diamond necklace and ear top.

9) Rs 4,13,140, including Rs 1 lakh, concealed in flush tank.

10) 2 four-wheelers (Hyundai Creta & Kia Sonet) and 6 two-wheelers.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/flats/farm house/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. Other deposits are also being ascertained.

The simultaneous searches are being carried out by teams comprising 7 DSPs, 1 assistant commandant, 6 inspectors, 6 ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, at the following places:

1) Triple-storey building at Ratna Bazaar, Dhenkanal.

2) Double-storey building at Ratna Bazaar, Dhenkanal.

3) E C Broiler farm (farmhouse) at Rahangol, Athagarh, Dist-Cuttack.

4) Flat No.201 at Brinda Basera, GGP Colony, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.

5) Paternal house at Birakishorepur, Athagarh, Cuttack district.

6) House of his relative at Dhenkanal.

7) His office chamber at Dhenkanal.

8) Residential government quarters at Dhenkanal.
