Boudh (Odisha): The Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance seized a leopard skin following a surprise raid at Karanjkata village in Boudh district on Thursday.
Two persons were arrested on the spot. The accused were identified as Abhay Nayak of Karanjakata village and Nilakantha Kanhar of Laxmanpur village.
A case has been registered against them under section 50 (8) (b)/51 of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 for violation of sections 9, 39, 44, 48 of the Wild Life Protection Act.
An investigation is underway.
